Set Sail Brick-by-Brick: Netflix Unveils Hilarious First Trailer for LEGO One Piece!
The Straw Hat Pirates are charting a brand-new course—in plastic brick form! Netflix has officially unveiled the very first teaser trailer and poster for Lego One Piece, an upcoming two-part animated special event scheduled to debut worldwide on September 29, 2026.
Following the massive global success of both Eiichiro Oda’s original manga and Netflix's hit live-action adaptation, this crossover project reimagines the East Blue saga with the trademark blocky, self-aware comedy that LEGO animation is famous for.

The "Almost True" Story According to Captain Usopp
What makes this animated special particularly unique is its unusual storytelling perspective. The narrative serves as a fast-paced recap of the crew’s journey from the East Blue all the way to the Grand Line, framed just before Tony Tony Chopper joins the crew at Drum Island.
According to details shared by Animation Magazine, the entire special is narrated by Usopp, the Straw Hats' most hilariously unreliable storyteller. In true Usopp fashion, he regularly exaggerates the events, completely rewriting history to paint himself as the grand mastermind, the ultimate powerhouse, and the true captain who came up with the idea to search for the One Piece in the first place!
The Live-Action Cast Returns to Voice Their Minifigures
In an incredible treat for fans, Netflix confirmed that the English dub officially reunites the star-studded cast from the live-action series to voice their respective LEGO minifigures.
As reported by Whats-On-Netflix, the returning star lineup includes:
- Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy
- Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro
- Emily Rudd as Nami
- Jacob Romero as Usopp
- Taz Skylar as Sanji
The special will also feature guest appearances by Charithra Chandran as Miss Wednesday (Vivi), Mikaela Hoover as Tony Tony Chopper, Katey Sagal as Dr. Kureha, Jeff Ward as Buggy the Clown, and Callum Kerr as Captain Smoker. For fans of the classic anime, the Japanese dub will similarly feature the original legendary anime voice cast, including Mayumi Tanaka as Luffy.
