During their packed morning panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2026, series creator Matt Groening, showrunner David X. Cohen, and the legendary voice cast officially rolled out the spectacular first trailer for Futurama Season 14.
Fans don’t have to wait for the distant 31st century to see the Planet Express crew back in action. Season 14 will officially premiere on Monday, August 3, 2026, exclusively on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers.

Space Pirates, Lab Meat, and a Legendary Crossover
The highly anticipated 10-episode season promises to deliver the series' signature blend of satirical sci-fi swagger and pure emotional chaos.
According to the official plot logs reported by Gizmodo, the new episodes will follow the crew through an absolute onslaught of modern, futuristic challenges:
- Intergalactic Invasions: The crew encounters a wave of swaggering space pirates, cyber-vampires, and dangerous alien invaders.
- Familiar Flames: Dr. Zoidberg faces the shocking return of his long-lost love, Mariana (voiced once again by Game of Thrones alum Emilia Clarke).
- The Ultimate Matt Groening Crossover: In a surprise announcement that sent shockwaves through the convention center floor, Groening confirmed that an upcoming episode this season will feature an official Futurama x Disenchantment crossover, physically bringing the worlds of sci-fi and medieval fantasy together.
Hulu Greenlights Three "XXXL-Sized" Specials
As if a brand-new season wasn't enough, the Hulu team delivered a massive corporate bombshell to ensure the show's long-term survival. The streaming network has officially greenlit three supersized, extended-length "XXXL" Futurama specials.
As highlighted by Deadline, these standalone movie-style events are already in active production at Rough Draft Studios. While details on the final two are heavily guarded, the very first extended special will be an unapologetically chaotic, Christmas-themed event slated to debut in late 2027.
