A Star-Studded 80s Powerhouse
For many fans, the 1986 movie remains the absolute high-water mark of the entire Generation 1 era. It famously pushed the boundaries of Saturday morning cartoon storytelling by delivering high stakes, permanent character deaths, and cinematic visuals handled by Japan's acclaimed Toei Animation.
The film also boasts an unbelievable voice cast, featuring Hollywood icons alongside classic voice actors:
  • Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime
  • Frank Welker as Megatron
  • Leonard Nimoy as Galvatron
  • Judd Nelson as Hot Rod / Rodimus Prime
  • Orson Welles (in his final cinematic role) as the planet-eating world-killer, Unicron.

What About the Philippines?
For Pinoy Transformers fans anxiously waiting to rock out to "The Touch" on theater speakers, availability in the Philippines has not yet been officially confirmed.
