To kick off celebrations for the monumental 60th anniversary of the Ultraman series, Tamashii Nations has officially pulled back the curtain on a legendary monster. Pre-orders are now officially open for the spectacular S.H.Figuarts Jirahs!
For fans who know their Tokusatsu history, Jirahs from The Mysterious Dinosaur Base episode holds an iconic legacy—the original screen-used suit was actually a modified Godzilla suit from Toei, fitted with a giant, colorful neck frill. Now, Bandai is giving this famous monster a premium, completely new 1/12 scale mold.
Master Class Sculpting & Interactive Battle Damage
Standing at 6.8 inches tall (175 mm including the collar frill), this figure was sculpted in close collaboration with Tsuburaya Productions’ official LSS modeling department. Master artisan Yuji Sakai directly oversaw the coloring and screen-accurate textures, replicating the unique green and gray tones of the classic Showa suit.
The engineering on this release is packed with incredible details tailored for monster fans:
- Swaying Dorsal Fins: The classic spines along the back are mounted on individual ball joints, allowing them to sway dynamically just like the rubber suit on set.
- Advanced Monster Articulation: The internal joints were engineered by Mitsuhiko Hosokawa (the master behind the S.H.MonsterArts line), bringing a unique articulated stomach and waist section for fluid, primal stances.
- Torn Frill Replacement Neck: True to the legendary climax of the episode, the figure includes an interchangeable "battle damaged" neck piece. This allows you to completely remove the frill to leave a bloodied neck wound, perfectly capturing the moment Ultraman tears it off!

S.H.Figuarts Jirahs is being distributed as a limited Premium Bandai / Tamashii Web Shop exclusive. Pre-orders officially went live on September 18, 2026, with orders scheduled to ship out in March 2027. The official base price is set at ¥15,400 JPY.
