Gotham City fans, it is time to travel back to the glorious gothic winters of 1992! LEGO has officially pulled back the curtain on its first wave of sets for the upcoming year, opening up preorders for the highly anticipated LEGO DC Batman Returns™ Batmobile™ & Duck (67008) building set!
Perfectly channeling the dark, stylized cinematic universe created by director Tim Burton, this 672-piece masterpiece brings the ultimate vehicle-class rivalry straight to your display shelf.
A Transforming Batmissile & 90s Chaos on Wheels
Composed of 672 pieces, this set packs an absolute masterclass in mechanical brick engineering. The headline feature of the 1992 Batmobile model is its brilliant transformation function. True to its on-screen counterpoint, the vehicle's body can split and seamlessly slide away to reveal the streamlined Batmissile configuration, allowing the Dark Knight to zip through tight alleys! When fully built, the vehicle measures over 7.5 inches (20 cm) long.
The Caped Crusader isn't the only one getting some sweet wheels. The set heavily embraces the 90s chaos of the movie by including The Penguin's giant Duck-mobile! Oswald Cobblepot's bright yellow amphibious ride features posable wings and a moving head.
To top it all off, the set includes two brand-new minifigures:
- Michael Keaton Batman: Complete with a beautifully molded cowl-and-cape combo piece and rare leg printing.
- Danny DeVito Penguin: Adorned in a fabric trench coat, holding his signature umbrella.
Digital In-Game Video Game Unlocks
For digital players, this set serves double duty! Buying this physical box gives you a specialized insert code to unlock exclusive premium content inside the upcoming video game LEGO Batman™: Legacy of the Dark Knight. Redeeming the code unlocks a universal Golden Red Brick (adding a gold aesthetic effect to your profiles) along with a golden digital variant of the Batman Returns Batmobile as a Batcave prop!
